If required, we can provide Remote Support via your company's VPN (Virtual Private Network). Â If you don't already have a VPN and would like more technical information on how it works, please contact us. Very simply, a VPN enables you to create a network using the Internet as the medium for transporting data. These systems use encryption and other security mechanisms to ensure that only authorised users can access the network and that the data cannot be intercepted.
Remote support via this method means that our helpdesk engineers will access your network or server through the VPN to attempt to resolve issues remotely.
A remote connection would first be set up between your company's site(s) and 3C Technology using a VPN. This is very similar to making a connection with a modem. We can then use special software to open a session on the computer that needs to be accessed. We can put the entire contents of that desktop on our screen and look at the problems which need to be solved. This is very effective if you are a long way from our office and do not want to pay for onsite visits. Once connected we can then perform troubleshooting, apply updates, patches, fixes and so on.
